Member Profile
There are three types of JLKCMO members-New Members, Active Members and Sustaining Members.
New Members-Those members that are in their first year of service with the JLKCMO. These members must complete a number of membership requirements before becoming an active member of JLKCMO.
Active Members-After completing the New Member year, each member becomes an Active Member and the membership requirements change.
Sustaining Members-After completing a minimum of 10 years of service and/or the member is 40 years old and has completed at least three years of service, she can become a sustaining member. She does not have the same responsibilities as an active member and can choose how involved she wants to be with the JLKCMO.
Currently, there are:
- 190 New Members
- 457 Active Members
- 894 Sustaining Members
The average age of an active member is 32.1 years old. Of the current Active Members:
- 69.7% are married
- 96.3% finished college or advanced degree
- 78.3% are employed outside the home
- 2.3% are full time students
- 6.8% are part-timers
- 55.4% do not have children
